Tim Sullivan
Chief of Security for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Intelligence (DI)
Tim Sullivan is the Chief of Security for DLA Intelligence (DI). He is responsible for developing and executing security policy requirements to support Agency operations focusing on protecting national security information. Tim manages and supervises personnel assigned to DLA Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) and Regional Commands (RCs) around the globe. Tim’s portfolio includes Information Security, Operations Security, Industrial Security, Personnel Security, and the Foreign Disclosure Officer program. Tim also oversees the DLA Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Program, coordinating SCI actions on personnel, facilities, and networks with the appropriate cognizant security authority from the Services or Intelligence Community.
Before coming to DLA, Tim was the Chief of Security and Counterintelligence for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) where he provided core security services and counterintelligence support. His duties also included management and security oversight of the planned construction project under the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) which relocated DISA to Ft Meade Maryland and their new 1.1m square foot headquarters. Tim oversaw the implementation of the DISA Insider Threat Program, which became one of the first government activities to reach initial operating capability. The programs he managed received several DoD and Federal awards in the areas of OPSEC and Personnel Security.
Tim retired from the United States Air Force where he served in various security positions to include postings as an Adjudicator, Special Security Officer, and a tour with the National Reconnaissance Office.
