Melissa Cardiello is the leader of Verizon’s Threat Management Center at Verizon, which includes the Insider Threat Program. Her insider threat responsibilities include overseeing the protection, detection, investigation, and mitigation of internal threats through specialized technology, subject matter expertise, and collaboration with business stakeholders. Prior to joining the telecommunications industry, she spent 6 years supporting an insider threat program in the financial sector and humbly served for 10 years in Law Enforcement as a Crime Scene and Digital Forensic Supervisor where she led several specialized Fraud and ICAC task forces. Melissa earned her Master’s degree in Digital Forensics from the University of Central Florida and is an advocate for Women in Technology.
